ECC Women's Ministry

At Emmaus Christian Church we value women and the unique way that the image of God is displayed in all of us. We are drawn together by the Spirit to enjoy, strengthen, and encourage one another. We strive to pursue meaningful opportunities to truly know and love each other. Each year a variety of events are prayerfully planned to enable such relationship and spiritual growth. Some of the events enjoyed have been hiking, day trips, soup and cider bonfires, teas, wreath making and movie nights. Drawing near to God together is the core and focus of all we do and regular Bible study, summer book studies, and prayer meetings are the backbone of our ministry. As each woman has profound value and worth in the ways God has gifted them, we seek for ways that those gifts can be utilized and manifested within Women’s Ministry and beyond. Our highest goal is to bring glory to the name of Jesus as we live life together.

Women's Ministry Statement

As women who bear the image of God, we seek to draw near to Him and to one another.  United in Christ, we strive to maintain the unity of Spirit, love God's Word, and value each member as they use their gifts to build up the body.

Summer Book Study

Life Together
The Classic Exploration of Christian Community
by
Dietrich Bonhoeffer
"Life Together is Bonhoeffer's inspiring account of a unique fellowship in an underground seminary during the Nazi years in Germany. It reads like one of Paul's letters, giving practical advice on how life together in Christ can be sustained in families and groups. The role of personal prayer, worship in common, everyday work and Christian service is treated in simple, almost biblical, words.  Life Together is bread for all who are hungry for the real life of Christian fellowship."
This Group meets every other Tuesday at Wendy's home from 7pm to 8:30pm.
Please see Wendy or Terri for more information.
